What is BPOM?

Domestic Products

Domestic Product Registration Requirements

The minimum requirements that you must meet to register your domestic products to BPOM, namely:

• Photocopy of Industrial License from the Ministry of Industry and Trade (Disperindag) or Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM).
• The results of the original laboratory analysis (valid 6 months after the test date), relating to nutritional products, substances claimed to match labels, chemical tests, microbiological contamination, and metal contamination.
• Design the label according to the one to be released and sample the product.
• The completed registration form.

Import Product Registration Requirements

In contrast to domestic products, there are special files that must be prepared as a minimum requirement of BPOM licensing for imported products, namely:

• Letter of appointment from the original factory, prepare the original document and photocopy for attachments.
• Health Certificate or free sale from authorized agencies in the country of origin, prepare original documents and photocopy for attachments.
• The results of the original laboratory analysis (valid 6 months after the test date), relating to nutritional products, substances claimed to match labels, chemical tests, microbiological contamination, and metal contamination.
• Design the label according to the one to be released and sample the product.
• The completed registration form.
